In the beginning…..

In the beginning, there was inspiration. Now, of course I can’t speak to what happened in the very beginning of this world as we know it, but it seems to me that every action we see comes from some source of inspiration. Whether it be from nature, the animal kingdom, or fellow human beings, there always seems to be a moment where something clicks in your mind and moves you to do something about it.

That moment for me was threefold. One, I started reading “The Law of Success” by Napoleon Hill. To be honest, I’m only just starting the fourth chapter of it now, but as you can see the first three chapters have already had a big impact. The second moment was when a friend referred me to ‘The Positivity Blog’ (http://www.positivityblog.com/). Now, I don’t know the person who created this blog, and to be honest I have barely scratched the surface of what it offers, but it revealed to me an opportunity that I could create something similar and merge it with the ideas I already had bouncing around in my head from reading “The Law of Success”. The third moment came when I was talking to yet another friend about my idea. At the time I was speaking about my plans for this site and my timeline for getting it going, which originally wasn’t going to be for another couple years. Her response to that was not to wait, to start it now, even if it develops little by little. As you can see, I heeded that advice and have started on my journey of creating a website that I hope many people will find useful and inspiring.

Live To Inspire has become my mantra. It challenges me every day to believe in the possibility of achieving my greatest success, and it challenges me to believe in the great possibilities of others. One of my favorite quotes is from the German playwright,  Johann Wolfgang von Goethe – “If I accept you as you are, I will make you worse; however if I treat you as though you are what you are capable of becoming, I help you become that.”

This is the beginning of me believing I can make a difference in people’s lives, and I believe you can do the same. There is one thing that you can do better than anyone else in the world. All you have to do is discover that passion that is within you and believe that you can achieve anything you put your mind to.
