Hey Katie, thanks for the comment. I hope you were able to check out Ms. Gilbert's TED presentation. I found it to have a lot of interesting facts and ideas about the creative process. I am also very happy to hear that things are looking up for you and you were able to work through a difficult time. I have also been through times of loneliness/depression and I wish I had this book to read at that time. I think it shows that by just accepting how we feel, staying with it, and staying compassionate with ourselves, we can work through anything. I think it's when we fight it or beat ourselves up about feeling down that a deeper depression can really set in. I'm glad you are feeling better! Thank you for visiting! :)

I just recently went through a funk where I felt the loneliness/depression creep up on me. I found myself saying a few of those similar things to myself during that time and did find myself on the other side with more to look forward to. I also really agree with her comment about religion. It has happened to me on more than a few occasions where a discussion becomes more of a heated battle than a civilized conversation. I'm going to check our her TED presentation. Great read. Thanks!
